Study the decision, not just the answer
A useful review begins at a position where you had a choice. Perhaps you considered a capture, missed a threat, or could not decide which piece to improve. Recreate that position on the board and choose the correct side to move. Copy its FEN if you want an easy way to reload the same starting point.
Compare two continuations
Press Play to analyze the decision, wait for the highlighted suggestion, and press Move to apply it. While the analysis session is active, the next position is analyzed too. Each press of Move applies the latest recommendation; the analyzer does not move pieces automatically. Press Stop to leave the session.
After stopping the session, use Back to return through applied moves, or reload the starting FEN. Arrange the move you originally considered, select the correct turn, and press Play to compare what changes: material, king safety, piece activity, or the pawn structure.
Keep the comparison specific. “This move prevents the knight fork” is a more useful note than “the engine preferred it.”
Keep a small study record
- The position or game move where the decision happened.
- Your intended plan.
- The reply you overlooked.
- One pattern to recognize next time.
The site does not save positions, so keep any notes and copied FEN you want to revisit in your own study file.
